Online Madrasa Classes – General Syllabus
Our Online Madrasa General Syllabus is designed for school-going students up to Class 12, providing a balanced programme of Quran learning, Islamic studies, Hifz, Hadith, and Islamic history. The course is especially suitable for students who want to develop a strong foundation in Islamic knowledge while continuing their regular school or college education.
Every student comes with a different level of Quran reading ability, Islamic knowledge, memorisation, and previous Madrasa education. Therefore, we do not follow a rigid, identical syllabus for every student. Instead, the learning journey begins with an assessment of the student's existing level, after which a suitable syllabus and learning plan are prepared according to the student's age, knowledge, learning ability, and individual requirements.
A Personalised Learning Journey
The course begins with an initial assessment to understand what the student already knows and where additional support is needed. The assessment may cover Quran reading, basic Tajweed, previously memorised Surahs, Islamic knowledge, Hadith, and understanding of basic Islamic concepts.
Based on this assessment, the tutor prepares a customised learning plan. Students who already have a good foundation can progress to more advanced topics, while beginners can start from the basics and gradually build their knowledge.
For students starting from the beginner level, the programme may extend up to approximately 120 sessions. The actual number and sequence of sessions can vary depending on the student's level, learning pace, attendance, and progress.
Quran Reading and Tajweed
A strong ability to read the Quran correctly is an important foundation of the programme. Students who are beginners can start with the basics of Arabic letters, words, Quranic reading and pronunciation and gradually progress towards fluent Quran recitation.
Students who already read the Quran can focus more on correct pronunciation, Tajweed rules and improvement of recitation. The tutor will identify areas that require improvement and provide practice according to the student's individual level.
Selected Hifz – Memorisation of Surahs
The syllabus also includes Hifz of selected Surahs, giving students the opportunity to memorise important portions of the Quran according to their age and ability.
Rather than concentrating only on memorising new portions, students will also be encouraged to revise previously memorised Surahs regularly. This helps strengthen retention and develop confidence in recitation.
The selected Surahs and the pace of memorisation can be adjusted according to the student's existing Hifz level and learning capacity.
Quran Learning with Meaning and Explanation
An important part of the programme is helping students understand that Quran learning is not limited to reading and memorisation.
Students will study selected Surahs with their meaning and explanation, helping them understand the important messages, guidance and lessons contained in the Quran. Age-appropriate explanations will be used so that students can gradually develop an understanding of the Quran and relate its teachings to their daily lives.
This approach encourages students to move beyond simply reciting verses towards understanding, reflecting upon and applying the guidance of the Quran.
Islamic Studies and Daily Life
The General Syllabus includes essential Islamic lessons appropriate to the student's age and level. Topics can include basic beliefs, worship, Islamic manners and etiquette, responsibilities, good character, and other important aspects of a Muslim's daily life.
The lessons are structured to help students understand Islamic teachings in a practical and meaningful way, encouraging them to develop good habits and values in their everyday lives.
Islamic History
Students will also be introduced to important events and personalities from Islamic history. Through age-appropriate lessons, they can learn about the lives of the Prophets, important events in Islamic history, and the contributions and examples of notable personalities in Islamic tradition.
The objective is to make Islamic history an engaging learning experience while helping students understand the values, lessons and examples that can be drawn from it.
Hadees Learning
The programme also introduces students to selected Hadees, focusing on important teachings that are relevant to their daily lives. Students can learn selected Ahadees along with their meanings and practical lessons.
This helps them understand the guidance of the Prophet ﷺ regarding good character, behaviour, worship, relationships, responsibility and other aspects of everyday life.
Learning Alongside School Education
The programme is designed specifically with the needs of school and higher-secondary students up to Class 12 in mind. The online format allows students to continue their Madrasa education alongside their regular academic studies.
The learning plan can be structured around the student's available time, while maintaining sufficient regularity for Quran practice, Hifz and Islamic studies.
A Complete and Flexible Madrasa Learning Programme
Our aim is to provide more than a collection of individual lessons. The General Syllabus is designed as a complete and personalised Islamic learning journey covering Quran reading, selected Hifz, Tajweed, Quran with meaning and explanation, Islamic studies, Islamic history and Hadees.
Most importantly, the programme begins where the student is, rather than expecting every student to start at the same point.
Assess your level. Follow a personalised syllabus. Learn the Quran. Understand its message. Build Islamic knowledge and values for life.
